More Hong Kong-Langkawi flights this summer

CATHAY Pacific and Dragonair will launch 12 chartered flights between Hong Kong and Langkawi in July and August.

The growth in access to Langkawi comes as Tourism Malaysia announced an 8.6 per cent growth in arrivals for the month of March this year to 1,975,776. For the first quarter, Malaysia welcomed a total of 5,460,184 visitors.

Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (Hong Kong) director, Ms Zaliha Zainuddin, said: "In the current climate, travellers prefer shorthaul travel and value for money... With the increased flights between Hong Kong and Malaysia, we anticipate that even more visitors will discover our fascinating diversity at incredible value."
