Director of Tourism Malaysia Sydney, Mr Shahrin Mokhtar, says discerning travellers are increasingly becoming aware of Malaysian hot spots – and are rating the country as a premium holiday destination.

“Malaysia is definitely building a strong following in the Australian market, with a 50.4% year on year increase in travellers in August 2008 compared to August 2007,” says Shahrin.

“Gaining recognition and receiving votes for the many great properties, facilities and services Malaysia offers is a sure sign that we are on the right path in delivering to the demands of today’s savvy travellers.”
